Ashburn Place

Ashburn Place is a short road running south of Courtfield Road across Harrington Gardens and into Wetherby Gardens.

The northern part on the east side is taken up by a large modern hotel. But the southern part has some red-brick terraced buildings and there is a large five-storey red-brick family house on the west side.

The street also has a view into adjacent communal gardens.

Ashburn Place was built on land belonging to the Alexander Estate

The firm of A.F. Taylor and S.A. Cumming, who operated from Earls Court, built Nos. 34-40 (even) Ashburn Place which adjoined the north side of Wetherby Place, where they were building houses for the Day Estate.  Their houses were completed between 1883 and 1885.

J.R. and W.H. Roberts built houses at Nos. 2-14 (even) Ashburn Place in 1879-80
