Stanhope Mews South is a cobbled mews just behind Stanhope Gardens. It is a cul-de-sac.
The houses on the north side form part of the rear of the large houses in Stanhope Gardens.
The houses on the south side are mainly two-storeys painted in different colours with small first floor balconettes. There is an interesting house at the end with an ornate first floor window and a small circular window just above.
The street is very quiet despite its proximity to Gloucester Road.
