Sumner Place Mews is a small mews running east of Sumner Place. It is entered through an attractive entrance arch and is cobbled.
It consists of mainly white two-storey houses on the south side with some garages on the end.
The north side is not built up which makes the mews feel particularly light and open.
Sumner Place Mews was built on land owned by the Smith's Charity estate.
Sumner Place Mews takes its name from George and William Holme Sumner, trustees of the Smith’s Charity at the time.
The mews was built as part of the larger development development of the area by Charles Freake.
